Summary: Makita 12" sliding compound miter saw
Comment: Very good saw. Solidly built, easy to use, and received high ratings as best miter saw in this size. Only 2 issues: the saw was shipped with a defective handle and trigger switch (quality control?) and that was resolved to my satisfaction. Second is the saw is quite heavy and large so not easy to carry around.

Comment: I have never owned this saw but I have used it quite a few times. I has plenty of power. I found it a little hard to move around and to adjust the settings.

Comment: THis is a sweet saw until it broke. The fence shattered in three different places within a few days of opening the box. Customer service was not concerned that their components did not stand up to regular use. The parts had quality i would expect of an inferior tool manufacturer.
