Summary: Fantastic
Comment: This is a dandy little adapter that helps you screw in tight places. Really helpful, and nothing else like it on the market. Remember folks, that this is only for a small electric screwdriver - doing heavy duty work will probably cause it to fail. Fine for small wood screws though!

Summary: Save the packaging!
Comment: This must be a really tough tool to engineer for indestructability. Lots of re-directed torque-you can imagine the stress on the gears. I usually trust Milwaukee for tools that can take a licking and keep on ticking, but this definitely isn't one of them. The tool doesn't last for more than a couple of stressful applications before the gears strip. Nobody else makes anything that can get in and out of tighter spots though, and it has become a necessary part of my tool box. I have found that Home Depot will take these back for exchange when give out, if you save the packaging and tell them the tool is defective (which is no lie). Without the packaging they have to go back to the manufacturer, which is a p.i.t.a. and takes time.

Summary: Nice idea, but I had problems
Comment: Pros:
o small size. In it's minimal configuration - with the thumb rest removed - it is 5-1/2" tall, 1" wide, and 1-1/4" deep. With a bit installed it is still only 1-3/4" deep.
o all metal construction.
o magnetic bit holder grips bits securely.
o customer support is responsive (less than 2 minutes waiting on telephone) and friendly.

Cons:
o reliability / build-quality issues. The item I purchased was defective (see notes below).
o it takes two hands to use this attachment, one to hold the screwdriver and one to hold the tool. Compare this to a lightweight angle drill/driver which takes just one hand. For the most part, this makes the tool useful only in very tight situations where an angle drill will not fit.

Notes:
The item I received is defective. The bit spins freely in both directions under no load, but doesn't run in reverse (counter-clockwise) under even light pressure (ie attempting to remove a #8-1" wood screw). It does work fine running clockwise, driving the same screw into a wood block.

The helpful person I spoke with at customer service said he suspected that a tooth was broken. He advised me to return the item and purchase the heavier duty 49-22-8510. I'm not sure if I'll do that since that item is somewhat larger (2" deep) making it less useful for tight spaces. Also, I own many tools (Makita, Bosch, Dewalt, etc) and it is extremely rare to get one that is broken right out of the box. Since this is my first Milwaukee tool, it makes me leery of the quality of this brand.

Comment: I own a $129,000 cabinet shop and this tool is used on almost every job I do. When you ned to get in a tight spot,nothing else will take it`s place and still be turned by a power tool. I love it so much, I`ve ordered two more. Boyd F. Sprague

Summary: Necessary evil
Comment: Although I've had need for this type of item on several occassions, I am disappointed with it's design and function. The grab bar is a separate unit and it keeps sliding off the head - right in the middle of trying to line up the head. Torque seems to be pretty good when you get it working, but it really is a pain to use.
